Susan Whitcomb, LMT, is a New Hampshire licensed massage therapist since 2003, NH 2129. She is a Nationally Certified Bodyworker, a member of the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners and a member of the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals, ABMP 690379.
She studied extensively at the Upledger Institute, the DoveStar Institute for Holistic Studies and the Institute of Transformational Studies and has completed studies on Medical Intuition. Reiki attunements are in both Shamballa and the Usui methods of healing to the level of Master Teacher.
Susan spent time on the islands of Hawaii performing research and individual study on the ancient spiritual practice of healing called Huna. There she discovered the importance of the ritual in healing practices, and how the body moves and heals in rhythm with nature. The goal of the healing ritual being regaining balance, having freedom of movement and a sense of wholeness.
In sessions, she takes a brief time to discuss her client's current physical and emotional position taking into account their medical history, their family background, their profession and outside endeavors. She believes it is important to listen openly and without judgment in order to intuitively follow each client's unique path that presents itself. Susan goes further in teaching her clients how to listen to their body, their own inner guidance, and encourages them to trust this wisdom. She is also a Hospice volunteer and has extensive experience in working with those with disabilities, chronic and serious illness, and with trauma.
